This is my 100th post!

Can you believe that this is my 100th post on blogger? Here is a nice chick pea soup/stew from The Everyday Vegan and oatmeal nut bread.

My friend Lisa requested the recipe for a healthy loaf of bread to bake in the bread machine. The chick pea soup/stew picture above is also pictured with this bread. So, this is one that I modified from the recipe book that came with my bread machine to make it healthier.

Oatmeal Nut Bread

1 & 1/4 cups lukewarm water
2 tbsp. powdered milk
1 &1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. molasses
1 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. canola oil
1 & 3/4 cup of multi grain best for bread flour
1 cup white best for bread flour
1/3 cup oatmeal
1 & 3/4 tsp. yeast

Add Ingredient : 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Select grain and 2 lb loaf size. At the add ingredients beep add the walnuts.

So I guess you got a new bread machine. Excellent! Calzones. Mmmmm. I'm also a lover of pie. My favorite, as boring as it may seem, is apple. Don't you love this times of year? Fresh apples, cool air, pretty soon it will have that smell. You know, the smell of autumn. It makes me think of Hallowe'en for some reason. I LOVE IT! Congrats on 100 posts!

hi carrie - yes I love the fall. We are going apple picking again today. My favourite pie is whatever is in season - when my raspberries are falling off our bush it is raspberry, when peaches are plentiful, it is peach, in the fall it is definitely apple pie...nothing beats it.

Hi kleo- I'm really looking forward to meeting you too!

Hi emmy - thanks, I can't believe I have posted 100 posts already! LOL!
