My first recipe from Eat Drink and Be Vegan
I was totally starving and exhausted after all my coaching calls last night, but hubby was out with the car which made take out a mute point. I decided to whip up the sun dried tomato pesto from Dreena's new cook book, Eat Drink and be Vegan. This recipe was super easy and delicious. I think I whipped it up in the same amount of time that it would have taken me to get take out. This recipe is satisfying without any cheese and filled with nuts for protein.
I served it with a nice Shiraz. This South African red wine was bold and full of flavour, just the way I like it! Isn't the cork cute with the giraffe on it?

Oh, that sounds fabulous. I do love pesto! I can't wait to score a copy of Dreena's book, but I think I am going to wait until it hits the vegan store here and buy it that way.
The giraffe is cute! I don't like Shiraz, though... :(

Hey Laura. You are so thoughtful, waiting until your local vegan store carries it. You will thoroughly enjoy it when it arrives. I am going to try a recipe from it as our vegan main dish for the family thanksgiving get together today.

I wish I had Dreenas new book. I'll have to wait a few more weeks though, I don't get my next pay until the 27th. I love pesto so much!

Every person has his or her own eating habits which may be beneficial or hazardous to the body. If your eating habits include not eating on time or pigging out on fries and burgers, then you are not feeding your body well. You should keep in mind that these foods do not have the essential nutrients which are needed to keep you alert physically and mentally. You should learn to eat foods which are rich in vitamins and minerals. With healthy recipes, you are assured that you are eating right.
