Pad Thai

This pad thai was OK. I used the recipe from Vegan with a Vengance. I really prefer a lighter pad thai. I also don't like pad thai with any tomatoe in it - sometimes the sauce tastes like ketchup to me... this pad thai had tomatoe paste in it. I absolutely adore the recipe in 125 Best Vegan Recipes. So, the next time I am craving pad thai, I will stick to that one.

It looks really good though. If I find a recipe I like, I tend to stick with it because I find 8 times out of 10, any other recipe I try just doesn't seem to be as good. Now, having said that, it's good to experiment and I love to try new dishes.
Question for you...where did you get your noodles and what brand are they? I used to buy President's Choice rice noodles and really had good results with them, but for some reason, I can't find them anywhere. I picked up some Thai Kitchen noodles at Whole Foods, but they weren't as wide. I like the looks of the ones you have in your photo.

    Hi Carrie

I bought the noodles at No Frills, so it wasn't a special purchase. They were good - and they only took something crazy like 6 minutes to cook. They are a pad thai noodle made in thailand by a company called Young and Young Trading Co. Ltd.

I don't think I have a Whole Foods around here (suburban Toronto)
